[03:25:01] <pteague> although it's not completely dead i think #vegastrike needs a complete over haul so it's server/client even for single player... so multiplayer is more than just a kludge... does that qualify for ossrehab? ;)

[05:25:56] <pteague> vegastrike is both a game engine & a game... um... campaign? several of the wing commander universe remakes/fan made mods use it... as well as Vega Trek (startrek) & some others
[05:26:28] <pteague> i *think* all or at least most of the python stuff is for the actual game campaign rather than the engine

[06:17:18] <pteague> the guys who worked on putting the C STL together worked on putting the boost library together... but from what i understand, whereas the STL doesn't change much (at all?), boost keeps getting added to... i think it adds various different functionality like serialization, iostreams, & threads to C making it much easier
