I have the impression that something got integrated recently that fails the gcc-build. ATM I check on my 2nd build machine.[20:59:42] <wacki> Something SPARC related...[21:26:36] <jollyd> wacki: I have not built gcc-10 lately but I have not seen anything strange in the change tsoome merged[21:27:52] <jollyd> wacki: it could be the update to automake 1.16.2?[21:29:38] <wacki> The build is still running. I will report the error message when it fails.[21:29:40] <jollyd> wacki: about the libjpeg symlinks, we only keep libjpeg6-jpg for backward compatbility so really just the libs are important[21:29:49] <jollyd> wacki: I just started a build as well[21:30:14] <jollyd> does it fails at the build or publish staged?[21:30:31] <wacki> gcc builds take ages here :([21:31:07] <wacki> I am not sure. I just saw it on my 1st build machine but cannot see details. Therefore the 2nd build.[21:32:02] <wacki> The first build was yesterday evening and I turned off the machine because it was already late.[22:00:15] <jollyd> it takes about ~40 min on my machine so it should be over soon[22:06:59] <wacki> Couldn't find 'usr/gcc/10/include/c++/10.1.0/x86_64-pc-solaris2.11/sparcv9/bits/atomic_word.h' in any of the specified search directories:[22:06:59] <wacki> /oibuild/oi-userland/components/developer/gcc-10[22:06:59] <wacki> /oibuild/oi-userland/components/developer/gcc-10/build[22:06:59] <wacki> /oibuild/oi-userland/components/developer/gcc-10/build/prototype/i386[22:06:59] <wacki> /oibuild/oi-userland/components/developer/gcc-10/build/prototype/i386/mangled[22:07:00] <wacki> /oibuild/oi-userland/components/developer/gcc-10/gcc-releases-gcc-10.1.0[22:07:40] <jollyd> ah crap[22:07:49] <jollyd> I thought it was the sample-manifest[22:07:50] <jollyd> ...[22:08:03] <jollyd> it was gcc-10.p5m[22:09:11] <wacki> My machine took alimost 3 hours - yours is way faster :)[22:09:52] <wacki> But it's the Proxmox VM so I guess it's partly because of slow disks.[22:13:50] <jollyd> wacki: I build with -j40, it is a dual E5-2630v4 and oi-userland is on a mirror with 2 SSDs.[22:14:29] <jollyd> Intel 535 480GB[22:14:35] <jollyd> quite handy for this[22:16:41] <jollyd> the machine has a root pool with 2x300GB SAS 15K and storage is 4 x 900GB SAS 10K in RAIDZ. Overall I am quite happy with it[22:17:00] <jollyd> + the two SSDs only for OI builds[22:19:32] <jollyd> wacki: https://github.com/OpenIndiana/oi-userland/pull/5843[22:21:01] <wacki> I wrote a question about the header files above the changes.[22:23:09] <tsoome> jollyd I'll check tomorrow. too tired now[22:26:55] <wacki> jollyd: I only have older servers. The "newest" being an HP DL380p Gen8 and a Fujitsu RX300S7. Both were cheap but not the fastest. Both have their pros and cons. Eg. the HP has a ConnectX-3 that isn't supported by illumos.[22:27:56] <wacki> But it's quite silent (unlike with it's alternatve quad Broadcom or Intel networks cards. Those need a special driver, only provided for Linux and Windows to keep the fans silent.[22:29:22] <wacki> Thus, the machine runs a Linux. The Fujitsu is bearable until it gets warmer outside. From 25 degrees ambient temps the fans are getting loud.[22:30:01] <wacki> 3000 rpms instead of 2000 atm :([22:30:37] <wacki> ambient temp is 26 degrees Celsius atm.[22:39:43] <jollyd> :)[22:42:45] <wacki> Good night![22:42:54] *** wacki <wacki!~wacki@i577B83EF.versanet.de> has left #oi-dev[23:03:40] *** jimklimov <firstname.lastname@example.org> has joined #oi-dev[23:23:28] *** jimklimov <email@example.com> has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving.)
