I just installed netbeans 8.2 and I can't create a new project. No dialog winow or anything. I came across https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=236560 so it seems to be a reoccuring problem over more than 4 years. I tried specifying jdkhome as parameter but with the same result.
