[09:10:25] <b0n> i chose this laptop because its very portable, and the first thing that breaks on most laptops is the hinge that connects the keyboard to the screen - with the surface you just take it off and add a new one. the second thing thats broken most often on laptops for me is the charge port and the surface charge ports are magnetic so that wont happen

[18:55:39] <b0n> yes you are. they come at least every 3 weeks
[18:56:13] <b0n> dunno why your waiting for updates..no issues here
[18:56:48] <Sean_Calabrese> ok, nice to know that. I have just come off fedora and I was in a habit of getting updates every 3-4 days thats all.

[18:59:17] <b0n> if you want more updates you can always switch to unstable..buuuutttttt i wouldnt
[18:59:56] <Sean_Calabrese> i wouldn't either. I was just curious and learning the ropes with Manjaro.

[19:00:57] <mtn> Sean_Calabrese, reading the website, wiki and forums will help you get up to speed
[19:00:59] <b0n> as much as i understand, packages first come from arch and then are worked on and thrown into the unstable manjaro branch. after more work they move to stable and are pushed. i think that manjaro unstable is always 2 days behind arch but im not sure
[19:01:28] <physkets> Sean_Calabrese: you could also keep an eye on the Annuncements page in the manjaro forum
[19:02:03] <physkets> also -> alternatively
[19:02:55] <Sean_Calabrese> Will do and now that I understand the process a bit better, Thanks to b0n, things will only clearer from here.
