[06:24:42] <manjaroi3> close to fixing my problem wiht the fontrendering on manjaro. one last issue it seems. the strange discolering. is that "hinting"? lxappearance doesnt seem to work. are those values set manually somewhere?

[06:26:18] <manjaroi3> wouldnt have gotten there without your help!
[06:27:07] <manjaroi3> i think its a double problem really. the fonts themselves, and the displaying of those fonts.
[06:27:48] <dodgejcr> perhaps. I dont really know much about it. Ive never really had font problems lol.
[06:27:56] <manjaroi3> the font replacement seems to work now. the discolering and 3d-like effect is the last issues.

[20:36:58] <KaanOzturk> hello i recently installed manjaro linux onto a usb drive and during installation i choose the option to install everything onto the usb drive thinking it would leave my computer untouched however after the install finished and i removed the usb to boot back into windows a black screen came up with an error and something about grub rescue then i proceeded to plug the usb back in to see if that was working which it did i could boot into the os i
[20:36:58] <KaanOzturk> <KaanOzturk> installed onto the usb drive or into windows through the multi boot screen i also checked my regular windows drives after getting into windows and did not notice any changes as far as i could see but nontheless when i try starting the computer without the usb plugged in i keep getting the same error screen. I dont know much about unix or grub but im guessing at siome point i did something wrong and it installed the bootmngr into one
[20:36:59] <KaanOzturk> of my hard
[20:37:01] <KaanOzturk> <KaanOzturk> drives(i am sure i choose the usb during installation for everything so i have no idea where i messed up) can anybody tell me what i did wrong and if i can remove grub from my computer so it boots straight into windows when the usb is not present?
[20:37:47] <KaanOzturk> sorry for the weird question format i asked it at a different room and just copied it to here

[20:41:17] <Kjeldmis> The problem you describe indicate that you did not install the bootloader on your USB flash drive
[20:42:12] <Kjeldmis> You would need to remove grub from the harddrive you installed it to, and run Windows boot repair
[20:43:03] <Kjeldmis> After that, you would need to boot a live media, insert the USB device you have installed Manjaro to, and install the grub bootloader to it.
