[19:48:54] <jordan> uploaders upload the blocks that are requested, so the selection is almost always driven by the downloader
[19:48:57] <jordan> right
[19:49:51] <jordan> the weak exception to this is super seeding and "suggest piece", where the uploader can nudge a peer into requesting a particular piece
[19:51:04] <jordan> but even in those cases, the seeders never coordinate with each other.
[19:51:18] <ManDay> I see. I take it's good because it reduces the communication overkill that would otherwise be emitted from the seeds?
[19:51:52] <The_8472> it keeps things simple and since you can't trust anyone anyway there's not much they could do to coordinate.

[19:59:13] <The_8472> and the implementation limitation is quite simple... if a seed sees another seed it disconnects it
[19:59:32] <The_8472> both of them do that, so even if one decided to not do so the other one would still do it
