[10:26:48] <Agnar> just did it...
[10:28:46] <tsoome> sunssh is just too old now

[13:48:08] <Agnar> folks, I run openssh 7.1p1 on hipster as client against a sunsshd (sol10/11, doesn't matter). my ssh takes for ages because it hangs right after "debug1: Authenticating to host:22 as 'user'"
[13:48:21] <Agnar> and complains directly after with:
[13:48:32] <Agnar> debug1: An invalid name was supplied
[13:48:36] <Agnar> Hostname cannot be canonicalized for 'UNKNOWN': Interrupted system call
[13:48:41] <Agnar> debug1: Unspecified GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information
[13:48:59] <Agnar> fun: I specified -o "GSSAPIAuthentication no" on my client
[13:49:03] <tsoome> check if the server can resolve your host name
[13:49:12] <Agnar> so...why does ssh tries gssapi?
[13:49:48] <Agnar> tsoome: it can not in all cases. but shouldn't ssh ignore gssapi if I told him so?
[13:50:00] <tsoome> GSS has few knobs see man sshd_config
[13:50:23] <tsoome> auth, key exchange etc they all default to yes...
[13:50:28] <Agnar> tsoome: seems to be a client-side problem only - if I uninstall openssh and use sun ssh on my client, the auth is fast
[13:52:00] <tsoome> ye it may depend on client as well in sense that ssh protocol allows many features and now it depends what the client is telling to server, or what steps are taken to agree on common set.
[13:52:13] <Agnar> *sigh*

[16:23:57] <nikolam> hi boots_ thanks for interesting. There is some manual on mirroring on Wiki, let me dig it for you in a sec. Btw, xenol manages our infrastructure.
[16:24:12] <nikolam> http://wiki.openindiana.org/oi/Mirroring+OpenIndiana is an article but ther eis also oi-infra at openindiana dot org and mailing lists for a contact
[16:24:45] *** tsoome has joined #openindiana
[16:25:47] <nikolam> oi-dev mailing list (http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/oi-dev) , we also had oi-infa ML but it's not active
[16:26:07] <boots_> ok, I followed this article and the mirroring of the files seems fine
[16:26:34] <boots_> but the part about the structure is unclear
[16:26:46] <nikolam> we now have newest rolling-release on /hipster publisher
[16:27:59] <nikolam> I personally havent mirroring it. I wrote an article about making small mirrors for per-package testing : http://wiki.openindiana.org/oi/Testing+packages+by+using+local+per-package+mirror
[16:28:27] <boots_> right now I just get everything in pkg-origin.openindiana.org::pkgdepot-dev and in dlc-origin.openindiana.org::dlc
[16:28:55] <boots_> but if you tell me e.g. that "hipster" would be enough for now thats would be fine too
[16:29:23] <boots_> i just need to know what has to be available and which kind of URL name for making it available
[16:29:26] <boots_> :)
[16:31:30] <nikolam> I thking wider audience needs too be consulted, too. that's why I mentioned xenol, Mailing list and there is alp/leoric, kmays, tommw etc.
[16:31:32] <boots_> maybe i will talk to xenol about that later - or maybe "Frank Lahm" is also someone who knows how to serve the content with apache? e.g. which Document Root should be available using some specific URL
[16:31:48] <boots_> ok!
[16:32:06] <boots_> so i will go ahead and start writing to the mailing list then
[16:32:13] <boots_> thx!
[16:33:09] <nikolam> Active things are /hipster, dlc.openindiana.org, /docs, etc. OK! :P
[16:33:46] <boots_> maybe someone shoul update the article :D
[16:34:07] <boots_> its a good start but may uh... need some polishing !
[16:37:34] <nikolam> I might update it with you, as soon we all figure out what are needed steps from start to finish to make a decent mirror :P
[16:38:14] <boots_> that would be terrific ;D
[16:39:16] <nikolam> we also have /hipster-encumbered that includes vlc and codecs that might be not mirrorable in some regions that think software algorithms are patentable
[16:39:48] <nikolam> source code these days is on github (one can follow building on http://hipster.openindiana.org:8080/
[16:41:09] <nikolam> It's open question of mirroring source code, when building, upstream archives are downloaded and patched, as per : https://github.com/OpenIndiana/oi-userland
[16:41:58] <nikolam> hg.openindiana.org is used for Oracle upstream these days (userland and IPS , X, etc)
