[01:32:40] <loganbr> there are only two net drivers on my system that say they support realtek rge and rtls. i put them both into google with 8111e and it saw a bunch of threads about 8111e with rge. i didn't read through all of them though.
[01:33:28] <ksalman> alrighty, thanks
[01:33:46] <loganbr> sorry it isn't very precise. just hoping to help you find your answer if you didn't have a system handy to look at.

[01:47:09] <loganbr> for d in /kernel/drv/*; do (strings $d | grep -i broadcom) ; if [ $? -eq 0 ]; then echo $d ; fi ; done
[01:47:30] <ksalman> thanks

[02:07:36] <ksalman> jimbo_: there may be a better way, but I usually have to remove the drive, and then add it again
[02:07:49] <ksalman> zpool detach <pool> <drive>
[02:07:59] <ksalman> zpool add <pool> spare <drive>
[02:08:41] <richlowe> that's going to depend on the structure of the pool.

[17:30:14] <JT-EC> There's a community HCL on the wiki that you can expand.
[17:30:32] <JT-EC> The wiki has just been opened up so you can create your own account now I believe.
[17:31:28] <JT-EC> I don't think we have all the source for DDU to update it - can't remember though, last discussion on that was ages ago.
[17:32:33] <Xiph1980> Ahh okay
[17:32:50] <Xiph1980> I'll at least put my systems in the manual HCL then :)

[18:28:33] <Triskelios> JT-EC: we do have most of the DDU source
[18:28:36] <Xiph1980> or are there some differences between openindiana and linux in that respect?
[18:29:20] <Triskelios> Xiph1980: depends on how portable the software is
[18:30:19] <Xiph1980> Well, was thinking about attempting to install Virtual Machine Manager 0.9.1 in stead of 0.6.1 in the package repository.
[18:30:38] <Xiph1980> as the 0.6.1 wouldn't load for some reason.
[18:31:33] <Triskelios> not sure if that will work with our libvirt

[18:31:56] <Triskelios> which is mostly deprecated now. illumos KVM doesn't support it
[18:32:39] <Mech0z> IF I run openindiana on a ubuntu client in virtualbox, is there any chance that it can see the drives on my raidcard?
[18:33:00] <Mech0z> (the drives on the raid card form a zfs pool
[18:33:20] <Xiph1980> Hmm, so then I would have to build libvirt-python, and probably a whole bunch of other stuff....
[18:33:22] <Triskelios> I think you can add the drives manually in vbox, look in the vbox docs
[18:34:12] <Triskelios> Xiph1980: I don't think you can just use standard libvirt

[18:38:52] <Triskelios> libvirt is only useful for Xen and maybe zones
