[09:37:14] <albech> so now I cannot access the server through the XenCenter anymore, though the hosts are still running, so I'm not in panic.... yet ;)
[09:38:05] <kdavy> albech: connect to the host via ssh, run the 'service xapi start' command
[09:38:51] <kdavy> no need to panic - xapi is only responsible for management (which explains why you lost access via XenCenter) and does not affect your VMs
[09:40:11] <kdavy> even if it does refuse to start, there are ways to fix it depending on what's in the logs. i just don't remember them :)

[09:41:19] <kdavy> albech: you can use WinSCP to check the logs - it will give you full access to the root partition
[09:41:47] <kdavy> faster than trying to read them via command line
[09:45:56] <albech> kdavy, the xapi did start and I can not access the XenCenter again, but I am experiencing the same weird behavior, where VM actions take VERY long.. Starting a VM takes like 15 min
