[18:27:19] <Hexxeh> vpalatin: I've built it, added the LDK files, can only login using guest mode, normal login crashes back to login prompt, when logged in as guest, flash is missing, webgl is broken, even though chrome://gpu-internals says everything is hw accelerated
[18:29:09] <vpalatin> Hexxeh: your dev-board is a T20 ? (ie not a T25 )
[18:33:24] <Hexxeh> it's not actually a dev board, but it's not using the kernel off of the rootfs anyway, asus transformer, ventana based i believe
[18:34:06] <Hexxeh> the tegra2_dev-board seemed to work as a generic config for most purposes back in march
[18:34:24] <vpalatin> Hexxeh: you might need to have the right BCT file flashed with your bootloader to get the kernel DVFS working without crash
[18:34:41] <vpalatin> (depends on your CPU max freq and DDR chips)
[18:35:04] <Hexxeh> yep, all done, kernel loads fine, ported vendor changes from 2.6.36 to 2.6.38-chromeos to get the ldk compatability
[18:35:28] <vpalatin> for flash missing, I think it's sadly expected.

[21:08:13] <ellyjones> hm
[21:08:39] <ellyjones> login_CryptohomeMounted fail?
[21:09:26] <ellyjones> gaurav was going to land something for c-home, maybe he did
[21:09:32] <cmasone> ellyjones: nope
[21:09:39] <cmasone> copying log files,
[21:09:45] <cmasone> file not found
[21:10:15] <ellyjones> cmasone: so that's not c-home?
[21:10:17] <cmasone> I guess we have no sheriffs?
[21:10:20] <cmasone> ellyjones: nope
[21:10:34] <ellyjones> crosbot: sheriffs?
[21:10:34] <crosbot> ellyjones: sheriffs: tlambert, singh, yoshiki, josephsih
[21:10:38] <crosbot> tree became 'Tree is closed (ellyjones: login_CryptohomeMounted test failure, looking at it)'
[21:10:42] <ellyjones> two in asia, two in MTV
[21:10:46] <gauravsh> i did land my change
[21:10:57] <gauravsh> can't understand the log file error
[21:11:00] <ellyjones> I can't either
[21:11:01] <cmasone> ellyjones: it's just the autotest harness wanting to copy a file, and the file's not found
[21:11:06] <cmasone> ellyjones: this isn't a huge deal
[21:11:07] <ellyjones> oh
[21:11:14] <ellyjones> well, the autotest harness should go screw itself
[21:11:45] <ellyjones> I bet it is not there because of my change, though, but it passed last time :P
[21:12:17] <ellyjones> cmasone: so just reopen and file a bug, or what?
[21:12:32] <cmasone> ellyjones: well, now I'm confused
[21:13:00] <cmasone> did you, in fact, move the cryptohome or something?
[21:13:37] <ellyjones> I didn't move it, I added a layer of indirection in mounting it
[21:13:44] <ellyjones> and added code to migrate stuff, but autotest should never see that
[21:14:01] <ellyjones> see the CL description here: http://gerrit.chromium.org/gerrit/#change,5475
[21:14:17] <cmasone> ellyjones: as long as, while logged in, the user's stuff should still be at /home/chronos/user, this is probably just a bug in the log collecting code
[21:14:46] <ellyjones> the user's stuff will still be at /home/chronos/user, yes
[21:14:58] <cmasone> ellyjones: then, yeah, file a bug on me and klet's reopen
[21:15:00] <ellyjones> if it wasn't I think _all_ the things would have broken :P
[21:15:09] <cmasone> wish teh sheriffs were here to participate in this...
[21:16:58] <ellyjones> that would be cool

[21:17:16] <ellyjones> hey, you're in MTV! you could go get them onto IRC to do their jobs :)
[21:17:36] <cmasone> ellyjones: you'd think that.
[21:18:50] <redpig> we've recently required cmasone not leave his desk to ensure the safety of those around him

[21:27:36] <gauravsh> hah
[21:27:59] <gauravsh> cmasone: could it at all be related to your recent changes to autotest for log collection code?
[21:29:05] <ellyjones> plan B, when sheriffing, is to find a way, however tenuous, to blame cmasone
[21:29:07] <redpig> gauravsh: aren't you gone? :)
[21:29:30] <gauravsh> redpig: not until wednesday
[21:30:02] <gauravsh> the conference is in SF, so not a lot of travel involved there
[21:30:12] <redpig> ah nice
[21:36:57] <cmasone> gauravsh: it is related to that change, yes...because shutil.copytree does not throw an OSError or an IOError on ENOTFOUND
[21:37:04] <cmasone> it throws an Error
[21:37:11] <ellyjones> ew!
[21:37:16] <cmasone> much ew

[22:25:56] <davidjames> ellyjones: That's flakiness in the buildbot
[22:26:12] <gauravsh> scottz was in the process of setting up the x86-alex_he board. it might not have been done yet
[22:26:20] <ellyjones> ok

[22:26:59] <ellyjones> okay
[22:27:12] <davidjames> ellyjones: Issue seems to be that it's using the wrong image there, it's trying to use the factory image for testing because of a race condition,, I can fix that

[23:11:03] <MostAwesomeDude> Hi, now that the channel is awake, I'll ask again (and hopefully I'm not being annoying): xev doesn't receive input events in the chromeos WM; is this a known/expected thing and is there any way around it?
[23:11:32] * ellyjones did not know that

[23:13:00] <MostAwesomeDude> marcheu: Curious; I was pretty sure I got upgraded. The icons changed and everything. How does one check the current release version? Also, is your xev linked against the system Xlib, and are there any patches to Xlib/Xi which would affect this?
[23:13:12] <marcheu> about:version
[23:13:15] <marcheu> and, no
[23:13:16] <MostAwesomeDude> So far, the correlation appears to be that anything linked with GTK+ works, anything using raw Xlib doesn't.

[23:21:12] <davidjames> MostAwesomeDude: I've used xev for picking up events from the keyboard and seeing what gets sent to the applications. Seems to work for the most part. Note that if you're on the lock screen xev won't pickup anything because the lock screen steals all the input
[23:22:36] <MostAwesomeDude> davidjames: I'm in a custom chroot. :3
[23:22:53] <MostAwesomeDude> I only get the normal Notify and Expose stuff; no input events are sent.
[23:23:12] <MostAwesomeDude> I'll try again after work, checking the version and seeing if linking against system libraries helps.
