[14:01:00] <chelz> but perhaps protecting against that would be more resource intensive than would make sense based on how often those types of attacks have been used (no times according to how many times i've heard of it)
[14:01:53] <chelz> since one protection would be to keep a record of all pieces sent to what users and if they get into the count of 2-3 for a large enough count of pieces, a client could ban that peer
[14:02:26] <chelz> based on the peer having a very unstable connection full of a lot of corruption, if not maliciously draining the swarm. either way they're not that ideal.
